Hey Hey!

We are the AIS stars! We had our first cheerleader practice today!! Some girls approached me about starting it - and I am so excited about teaching them - and they are all really excited as well.  I know, y'all are laughing, what are we going to cheer for?!   We have at least one football (soccer) game to cheer for - but most of the time we are going to learn cheers or dances for assemblies or maybe have a pep rally - but really its going to be a group of students who want to encourage people in our school and community.

We started today by memorizing our verse, "For the JOY of the Lord is your strength." We learned some "basics" for cheering, and then all the cheerleaders made encouraging cards for one of the teachers at AIS and then we prayed for each teacher by name.  So, not your typical cheerleading team, we're cheerleaders for Jesus and encouragers to each other.  It's going to be good, I can tell.

It's pretty neat how the Lord can use something I spent so much time doing at one point in my life, but now seems so insignificant - all for His glory.
